History - The Beginnings

Like many of the successful family-run companies in the Black Forest, the founder Ewald Granacher started the "factory" Granacher in his own home in 1968 and began producing hydraulic parts for the aviation industry.

Shortly after the formation of the company, the use of an automatic switchgear enabled Granacher Präzisionstechnik to supply particularly the local industry in the areas of precision engineering and watchmaking with electromechanical components. This was carried out with great diligence and success.

As early as 1981, the first CNC lathe was commissioned. As a consequence, all precision turned parts were manufactured in-house, guaranteeing the desired high quality standard. Due to the necessity of expanding the machine park, the number of employees increased steadily and the production facilities had to be extended.

In 2002, the site in Döbele was expanded and 15 employees were working for GRANACHER at that time.
